Quality lower receiver parts
Buffer tubes are a point of consideration. There are two main types: mil-spec and commercial. And there are two variations, Rifle and Carbine length. The main difference between the main types is the outer diameter of the tube, and the slight slant on the back of the commercial version. The one that matters is the diameter. Mil-spec is 1.148” and commercial is 1.168”. What this means is that depending on the tube you get, you’ll have to get a corresponding stock. If you mismatch them you will run into issues. Mil-spec stocks will fit commercial tubes extremely tightly, if at all, and commercial stocks will be very loose and will rattle on mil-spec tubes. We only carry Mil-Spec version as we see no need and/or benefit to the commercial standard. As for Variations, the difference is length. A Rifle length buffer tube is 10” and the carbine length is 7.25”. These differences then play into which buffer spring and buffer you will need to get. So when choosing these components you need to pay close attention to the version you are getting. If you opt to order these parts from us, you need not worry about this as we verify our orders and only carry stock mil-spec parts and accessories to avoid confusion.
Buffer springs and buffers work in conjunction to make the bolt carrier in the upper receiver cycle. As mentioned above, you’ll need to match your spring and buffer to your buffer tube. Fortunately regardless of the length, buffer springs and tubes are all the same diameter, so you only need to worry about getting the right length spring and the right type of buffer.
Lower receiver parts
All these parts work in conjunction with each other and not one can be overlooked. What you want is parts of consistent quality that will work together in harmony. For example if you opt for a high quality grip, you definitely shouldn’t skimp on a quality trigger.
